Christ School ,Ado Ekiti is Rubbish ? By Wale Ojo Lanre
Rubbish! Christ School, Ado Ekiti is rubbish!
Why do you always talk like this?
Why?
Calling Christ School, Ado Ekiti, rubbish?
That seems silly on your part.
Very silly.
No.
Definitely no.
I am not one of them that talk evil of Christ School Ado Ekiti
And I will not join you
For I have no reason to do
I don't know about you
Though I have no opportunity to attend Christ School
I neither envy nor begrudge those who were academically buttered and knowledgeably bred by Christ School
I did not attend Christ School
I was lucky to attend Ansar- Ud - Deen Grammar School., Ikare Akoko with our Motto: Towards Religious Harmony.
But is there something special about Christ School, Ado Ekiti?
What makes all of them so passionate about the school?
What is the niche?
Everywhere, Up School! Up School!
Sola Taiwo Falegan, my childhood friend
Will never let me rest
Up School. Up School.
Then I took a trip
This day last year
Got to the legendary school
And saw with my eyes
The accomplishments of brains
Felt the aura of academic sophistication
Toured the historical paths of eminent world citizens
Who has passed through the tunnel of Christ School?
Came out refreshed
Talked to me
I did not attend Christ School, Ado Ekiti.
But I have toured Christ School., Ado Ekiti.
And I now realised
Why those who passed through this historically
An educational fortress called Christ School.
Are always shout
Up School
Take a trip today
Your Christ School, Ado Ekiti.
And I am sure
By the time you have been schooled about
The history and the trajectory metamorphosis
Of this landmark institution
You will. end up shouting
Up.Schoollllllllllllll!!!!!
...dedicated today to all my friends who attended Christ School Ado Ekiti

I am always proud of my Alma Mater. Her products are spread the world over and in diverse endeavours of life. In old Ondo State the Iroko called Christ's School can only be matched by few. The motto 'Cbristus Victus' resonates everywhere. Hardly anyquaters will you go without the greeting of 'Up School's. The school that sets the pace. Up School!
ReplyDeleteThat is Baba Idera’s School Van. That van brings back fond memories, because to ride it, you must be an elite soccer, hockey, or Rotherham jock, in those days.
