, Awomolo, Olanipekun, Fagbemi, Gadzama, Ikpeazu, Ozekhome, Raji, Falana ,44 lawyers, feature in Kayode Ajulo’s 7 Habits of an efficient lawyer By Wale Ojo- Lanre I remember him. Decked in line with the dress code of the successful lawyer, Abraham Kayode Ajulo, Esquire, stood up with patent humility amidst the legal eggheads who had gathered at The Afe Babalola Bar Centre, Akure Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association for the 2023 Annual Lecture Burdened with the task to deliver" The 7 Habits of a Successful Lawyer" to the accomplished learned souls. Understandably, a topic of this nature which has a definitive arrival can only be allocated to an equally someone who must be diligent at law, successful in practice and who has been identified with an enviable behavioural pattern of being fit and proper. Going by the keywords, 7 Habits, Successful and a Lawyer, it will be herculean finding someone with all these attributes among the enviable symbols who have embraced the

What is wrong with Baba Hezekiah of Oke Erio By Wale Ojo- Lanre I don't know I am proud of him A man of prodigious anointment from God He is a rare man of God Who God in his infinite mercy Raised from being a mere mechanic The repairer of damaged cars and vehicles To be the repairer of spiritually damaged souls Healer of plagued spirits His prayers break the chains of evil His words disentangle those shackled Reformer and healer of wounded spirit This humble man of God is down to Earth I remember meeting him at Jordan Airport On his way from London He was in a businessyy Class I in the economy Baba left the business class And planted himself beside me Yes , in the economy And when I introduced him to Mr Dele Alake who was in the same Aircraft and Business Class with him Baba bowed as Bra Dele bowed to greet him He refused my offer to carry his bag And with no fuss of being so blessed by God He remembered to look out for me After he collected his l

Tinubu's Presidency and the cost of genuine loyalty. By Raheem Ajayi .

Tinubu’s Presidency And The Cost of Genuine Loyalty By Raheem Ajayi I write from the inside. After reading "Dreams from My Father'', a book authored by Barack Obama, the 44th American President, I concluded, just before he was elected in 2008, that Obama made up his mind to become the US President as early as when he was just 8 years old. His, was a trajectory evidently influenced by a conscious disposition of a man determined to fulfil his dreams. Nigeria's President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu shares a similarity with Obama in this aspect of knowing what he wanted at an early age and pursuing it using everything humanly possible to accomplish his dream! No wonder he said it has been his lifelong ambition to become the President of Nigeria. Typical of a man who knew what he wanted and the skills as well as exposure required to achieve it, Tinubu made sure he schooled at one of the most prestigious Universities in the World. Armed with a Bachelor of

Who is afraid of Abubakar Bagudu's towering image? Re-Abu Najakku’s wild allegations By Wale Ojo- Lanre With the 2023 campaign officially over, and the APC Presidential Campaign Council has been officially dissolved, media mercenaries who fell out in the jostling to get attached to one group or another have started showing their frustration openly. They have realized that their duplicity and vindictiveness have landed them deep into the very holes they dug for others. One of them is Abu Najakku, a serial Pay as You Want mercenary - a writer who wrote a mendacious and malicious opinion in the Daily Trust with the headline "Letter to Tinubu: The Atiku Bagudu Matter After a painstaking peruse of the article and being conversant with the personality and person of Bagudu, I decided to unveil the character and motive of Abu Najakku's destructive angst against Bagudu. ... My intention in this write-up is not to join issues with him rather, I intend to set the records str

Exposed! True story of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido and Student Kemi Afolabi by FactChecker

Exposed! True Story of Federal Teaching Hospital Ido and Student Kemi Afolabi- By FactChecker FactChecker read a particular blogger running two series on this case of a 15 years old SS1 student of Notre Dame Grammar School, Usi - Ekiti, and Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido - Ekiti. Factchekers discovered some loopholes in the one-legged account of the issue being shared. This unprofessional, unethical, and pollution of the covenant of objectivity is unfair, in bad taste, and distasteful. The writer seems to be doing a hatchet job by being monofocal in his assignment. Though one might not blame him If he is driven genuinely by passion taped with unbridled emotional attachment to the case whereas he is expected to be clinical, detached, and dispassionate in his reportage. For, the consequence of his one legged story may wreak inestimable damage to the image of the institution which could be irreparable by the time the coast is cleared. Ethics dictate fair hearing from the other

Tinubu : Don't fall into PMB's mistake on Tourism

Tinubu! Don't fall into PMB's mstake on Tourism ...... The tourism sector is crying for Justice Written by: Wale Ojo Lanre Our President-Elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I am sure you are on the drawing board drafting and structuring the government of National Unity to come after May 29, when you would have been gloriously planted in the saddle of the nation called Nigeria- the Greatest Country in the Universe. As a clinical and clever strategist which you are, I am sure you will never fall into the error of the past but instead review the mistake to make it as a rectification column to reinforce your structure. This is why I am sending this memo which is the second such to you after you emerged as the incoming President of Nigeria. As the headline of this memo, it will be a monumental tragedy if we keep mute without letting you know where the nail punctured the bloating balloon of the tourism sector which was floating high, aiming the sky at the commencement of the

Wale Ojo- Lanre must be crazy by Gabriel Adedeji Olayinka

Wale Ojo-Lanre is Crazy! By Gabriel Adedeji Olayinka Walahi He is not a normal Nigerian. He goes against the norms! He scoffs at bureaucracy, submitting to the unconventional. In our world where artificiality is like a diadem, Wale still hankers after originality! Can you imagine Omo Iya Oniru still echoing his pristine years of foot-walk across 3 to 4 rural communities, with a wooden tray poorly balanced upon his teenage pate, calling like the town-crier for potential buyers of his grandmother’s mounds of iru-Pete (a traditional Yoruba spice)? No one expected such an unprivileged loafer to go beyond his rural vicinity. The crazy guy didn’t just venture out, he got the education like any of his peers who had long left for the urban centres. He marched up to them and overtook many, carving out a niche for himself in journalism and the world of tourism. Today, Wale can be said to have practically conquered the world. It is unclear if any corner of the world remains where

Igbo's affront and Oba Akiolu of Lagos

Igbo's affront and Oba Akiolu GOD BLESS OBA RILWAN AKIOLU! By Wale Ojo - Lanre 8 April ,2015 ( 8 years ago) I have read a lot of comments and responses to the statements of Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the paramount king of Lagos, a Yoruba land that accommodates all nationalities in Nigeria and from the entire world. Lagos has a rich history of the exploits of its Monarchs defending the territorial integrity inherited from their forefathers whenever there is any strong attempt at appropriating the rich Yoruba territory. This of course always cultivate to them with unpleasant experience, personal losses, curtailing of their fundamental rights, abuses, and scorning. But in the end, Lagos Oba of Lagos always achieved their aim of preserving the territorial integrity of their dear land and forcing the intruder to bow to the norm and customs of the land. Monarchs all over the world are known for their sheer protectionism of their territories and pedigree inheritance. Hence they go miles

Is Shola Alex Oke, SAN, stupid? Far from it This Ilaje man is not stupid Alex Oke, SAN, Has just clocked another year on Earth. Happy birthday to a man who decided with a grim determination to succeed. I am going to tell a story of a man who has garnered a lot of achievements by sheer deed of agrarian hard work 198I: Badaru Abbey House Ikare Akoko You can not miss the two-storey house painted green while approaching Ikare from Ado Ekiti. A newly admitted elderly student of Ondo State College of Arts and Science arrived at the house to occupy a room. He had with him a medium size bag of gari, another with dried fish, two boxes, one with books and the other with clothes, and a gallon filled with a local drink His room was next to a form IV, AUD Grammar School, Ikare Akoko student, who left the boarding home because of a disagreement with some seniors who were lording over him The form IV boy helped him to arrange his room after which soup and eba were prepared, eaten with shots
