An Ondo indigene, Hon Bola Ilori, who is the Special Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Chairman of the Federal Government Task Force on Monitoring and Enforcement of Nigerian Expatriate Business Permit and Expatriate Quota has been described as ‘ a precious beacon of hope and light of inspiration for the Ekimoguns genre of Yoruba race “
Dr Mrs Bola Awosika , a University lecturer made this assertion today at the Civic centre, Ondo City, Ondo – State, while delivering a lecture marking the birthday and the dispensing of educational support materials to 1500 indigent students of Ondo town by Hon Bola Ilori.
In a ceremony which was attended by the Osemawe of Ondo. Oba Kiladejo, Jio II, who was represented by the Odofin of Ondo kingdom, Governor of Ondo – State , Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who was represented by Mrs Olubunmi Ademosu, Special Adviser, Public and Inter-Government Relations, Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Tayo Alasoadura, Hon Cecilia Fayese, Federal Commissioner, Ondo State APC party officials, Chairman, Ondo West, Local Government, Celestial church leader
Dr Awosika said that Bola Ilori has consistently being a pathfinder at lubricating the educational advancement of indigent students in Ondo town “He who helps others to ease the pains of educational advancement by aiding and providing soft landing apparatuses and instrument of progression is not only a beacon of hope but an inspirational light bearer. This is what Bola Ilori has been, he is and he would be “
She called on the 1500 indigent students and pupils to have a vision, set goal for themselves and work towards the accomplishment of the vision and goals.
“You can achieve anything positive in your life if you set the goal now. The rule is that you have to be diligent and passionate about it. Bola Ilori who is reaching out to you today toured the same path as you as a student but he is doing well now because he has been diligent and consistent with his goals. “
In his own remark, Governor Akeredolu commended Bola Ilori for always giving back to his community anywhere he is especially in adding value to and uplifting the educational status of indigent students in Ondo
He revealed that Bola Ilori is a man of quality ideas who is extremely intelligent always seeking for the development of Ondo State.
“Here is a man who is always diligent at his duty post. Bola Ilori has not been found wanting in any post of responsibility bestowed on him at any time. He is an asset to Ondo State, Nigeria and the world especially when it comes to environmental issues; he is one of the best”
Chief Tayo Alasoadura, Minister of State for Niger Delta described Hon Ilori as a goal setter and getter who has set himself apart in Ondo state as a purposeful and resourceful entity always seeking to make an impact in a sustainable manner
“I am impressed by what Hon Ilori is doing today. He told me he was going to celebrate his birthday. I was thinking that he was going to call us to a big ballroom in Abuja to dance rock and eat and wine. But no. He invited us to Ondo town, here at the Civic Centre, invited 1500 indigent students of Ondo who are to go home with free school uniform, bags, textbooks and other educational materials. This is not only impressive but tells us the quality of his mind and soul “
The Osemawe of Ondo described Hon Ilori as “one of the finest indigenes of Ondo who is a paragon of the virtues that distinguish an Ekimoguns from others “
The Odofin of Ondo kingdom who represented the Osemawe burst into a song “Esi, esi o egin, e soluya lomo Ondo oo “(That Ondo is a tribe which harbours no irresponsible human being) added that Hon Ilori is one of the very best.
