Encounter with Clarion Chukwura! My first female film love By Wale Ojo Lanre cica2018 My first film is Star Love! Patty Boulaye was to be my first but I did not like her too sophisticated style, too English. Too polished with a lot of cosmetics. I put her in the Second category after watching her in Bisi, the daughter of the River, a film sponsored by the late MKO Abiola one evening at Esso Cinema, Ondo, in 1987 the late Tunde Ogunmola invited me to watch a film, 'Owo lagba'' "Money Power " a political film which showcased the influence and consequences of monetised politics featuring Shina Peter, Ola Omoniyi, alias Ajimajasan and one damsel, Clarion Chukwura. Shina was the catch. The young guitar master dabbled into acting. As the film progresses with the entry of Clarion into the motion, my heart fell for her. Her figure, green beauty and virgin look seduced and charmed me to the marrows. See pristine beauty! She was lovely dark. Slim, Admirably adorable. Cute. Alluringly angelic. Appealing. Bewitching. Delectably captivating, Charming, Dazzling, Delicately delightful, Elegant, Enthrallingly enticing, Innocent, Naturally elegant. She Plaited her hair which revealed the light skin of her head. Throughout the film, my mind was off the lessons of the scenes but on this lady of grace She captured my heart. I love her. Love the delivery of her lines. She was in the film naturally seductive... who refused the entrapment of the big time money missed road politicians. Clarion preferred the poor journalist, Shina Peters, to the money bag who eventually... My passion for this lady never allowed me to remember the storyline again. She did imprison my heart. The only concentration I had was on her lips and melodious voice ..... I never met her in person But I have severally defended and protected her interest Not just because of my affection towards her but because of Clarence his son who is the son of my big Egboo- Shina Peters ,who I called Buoda Olu We finally met at Hi-Impact Planet Amusement Park and Resort in Lagos It was a day of stories. We had a fruitful discussion ranging from Patty Boulaye, the film industry, her sojourn in Kongi Bodija and her next move. Not for public consumption right now. .
