Meet Olugbenga Aina, LL.B, BL, MSW

He is a 1990 law graduate of Obafemi Awolowo Univesity, (aka Great Ife), Ile-Ife, Nigeria, and the first Deaf person in West Africa to graduate with a law degree. In 1991, He earned his  Barrister at Law qualifications from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, and was called to the Nigerian Bar, thus becoming West Africa’s first Deaf lawyer. He is from Ekiti state in Nigeria. 


Disability exists only in the mind.  The only person who can stop someone from achieving his or her goal is the person even God who created us wants us to succeed and excel.


Let us pass the message  across to inspire our children to be the best they can be, they have no excuse to fail.

  2. We were colleagues in High School too and from the same locality. Gbenga has been consistently Brilliant, I recall how he used to teach us English, notwithstanding his physical challenge, which really never stopped him. I'm so proud of his progress and achievements, he's really an inspiration to all. Kudos to you, Bunmi.

  6. Yes , l know him well enough...he wasn't born handicap but a serious ailment he suffered from during his early school period...
    We were OAU Ife together but my senior... highly brilliant and a lively fellow...we participated in all Students alutas...l clearly remembered one incident , a confrontation with the police ...l had to look out for him dragged him out of police firing zone...
